Gourmet Club Dinners, the Story according to Maureen

Jon and I had a New Year's Eve party 1992. On New Year's Day, we cooked a big turkey dinner. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc...just like Thanksgiving. Sammy had come over for the party and stayed for dinner. Dave also came over on New Year's Day. Reg had felt, a few weeks later, like she should cook dinner. Jon, me, Dave, Tom and Sammy went over there and she made seafood linguine, one with red sauce, one with cheese. The next week, Jon and I made a TON of homemade pasta. To help us eat it, we invited Sammy and Reg over. Thus, Sammy decided that he 'owed' us dinner. January 28, 1993 he invited Jon, me, Reg, Dave, Tom, Cathy and Charlie over for dinner. Since this was such a successful event, Charlie said we should do it every week and volunteered for the next week. Thus began our Gourmet Club.
